Protecting Children - Norville Center Children's Shelter

This is an Emergency shelter for children whose parents are not able to care for them for due to unfortunate circumstances and are placed there by a court order. It serves several counties in North Texas. The shelter is a home-away-from home for the children. For whatever length their stay they are cared for and provided for as if they were a family. When they leave the belongings they have been provided during their stay will go with them. The community – individuals, churches, organizations help to provide for the needs of the shelter, supplementing what is provided by the State. This year our church budgeted funds and also asked members to make special donations so we are all participating in this project. Our of our members is the coordinator for the project, making contact with the Shelter Manager, deciding how our assistance will be provided and discussing how we can best help in the coming year.
